experience! A trip to a winter fairy tale of the glacial Baikal.
To move on ice is easy not only on foot, but also on a bike. You
will be able to see Ol'khon, legendary Shamanka Rock, Sagan-Khushun
Rock, the Khoboi Cape - the names to be encountered in every guidebook.
Also you will see what only Baikal experts are aware of - some ice
grottoes and caves latent in rocks' breaks and unavailable in summer.
The tour
program:
 1st
day - transportation by minibus from Irkutsk to Lake Baikal,
the Uyuga cape (260 km). Arranging a tent camp.
2nd day - a hike on the Baikal ice (the Maloye Sea) up
to Zamogoi island (9 km), which is the third in size on the lake
water area. On the way visiting marble Ol'trek island is supposed.
Arranging a tent camp. Walks around the picturesque island.
3d day - a hike on the Baikal ice (the Maloye Sea) up to
Ol'khon island (16 km). Viewing the well-known Shamanka Rock and
visiting the legendary shamanistic cave near the settlement of
Khuzhir. Arranging a tent camp.
 4th
day - a hike on the Baikal ice up to the Bukhun cape (8 km).
Viewing ice grottoes. Arranging a tent camp.
5th day - a hike on the Baikal ice up to Pestchanka (15
km). Arranging a tent camp. Walks around the remarkable sand beaches,
sites of ancient people.
6th day - a hike on the Baikal ice up to the Butu-Orsa
cape (14 kms). Arranging a base tent camp.
7th day - a day-off, walks, ice-climbing, visiting an ice
cave on the Ular' cape, a field-bath.
8th day - a hike on the Baikal ice up to Sagan-Khushun
Rock
and the Khoboi cape, the northern tip of Ol'khon island (10 km).
Viewing some ice coastal grottoes. Returning to the base camp.
9th day - walks around Ol'khon island: ascending onto Sagan-Khushin
Rock peak (visiting a cave, a refuge of ancient people) to the
Khoboi cape and the Shuntae bay. A grand farewell fire at night.
10th day - transportation by minibus from Ol'khon island
to Irkutsk (315 km).
