The tour
program:
1st day - transportation to Lake Baikal from Irkutsk to-
Bol'shiye Koty (by the "Voskhod" boat, the distance is about 80
km). A tour of the biology museum, a hike from the village of Bol'shiye
Koty to the Sennaya Pad' (4 km). A night in a tent camp, cooking
on a fire.
2nd day - a hike from the Sennaya Pad' to the Soboliny cape
(4 km), down a scenic path alongshore the Baikal with a stop on
"Skriper" mount from where a dazzling panorama of the Baikal opens
up. Here you can go on a tour of the cave and explore the site of
ancient people. A night in a tent camp, cooking on a fire.
3d day - walks around the environs with some sightseeing
(the Chayachi Rock, the well-known Chortov (Devil's) bridge and
so forth). A night in a tent camp, cooking on a fire.
4th day - a hike from the Soboliny cape to the village of
Bol'shiye Koty (8 km), departure to Irkutsk by boat.
